Welcome to the Family In Action

Family In Action is part of a nonprofit international organization of full-time volunteers, our Indian chapter being The Family India. We are from diverse backgrounds, doing our best to make a difference in our part of the world. We are melded together by a common ideal to reach and respond to the needs of others & to be a source of positive input that will replace fear, worry, frustrations and discouragement with a happy, productive, loving and dynamic perspective on life to people of all ages & from all social standings, in all walks of life & circumstances.

Our unit here in Hyderabad has its focus on the following projects:

1) Value Education Programs. The world of tomorrow will be what the children of today grow up to make it. We therefore endeavour to provide them with the input that they need to help them become good human beings. To achieve this goal we have a number of programs geared at different age groups:

  • For the Children: Our young people have put together a Puppet Theater: 'Fantastic Friends' and have been performing for the last 7 years for children and adults alike, teaching positive moral values.
  • For Teenagers: New Journey a Character Education program which trains teenagers to become concerned individuals and contribute to the betterment of society.
  • For Parents: Seminars on a variety of parenting skills.

2) Assist Existing Institutions, we have found that many institutions are in great need of raising their infrastructure, as well as, the quality of life of their inmates. We operate as mediators in facilitating needed improvements. Our most recent projects being: the renovation of bathrooms and kitchen of the Love and Care orphanage here in Hyderabad.
